Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) is the owner and operator of the world's largest chain of discount stores with approximately over 3,800 stores in the US alone. Wal-Mart is the world's largest public corporation by revenue, according to the 2008 Fortune Global 1000.[1]. Wal-Mart gift cards have a solid resale value due to the diverse merchandise line, such as gasoline and grocery, available and numerous store locations throughout the country.

Wal-Mart offers two different types of gift cards, a traditional plastic gift card and an electronic online gift card. Plastic gift cards can be purchased at any participating Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stores, walmart.com, samsclub.com, and via third parties, such as gift card malls. Gift card information can be stored on a Walmart.com online corporate account, which provides for faster online purchases and offers some protection if the physical card is lost.Personalized photo gift cards are available at any Wal-Mart stores with one hour photo services.
The online eGift Cards are available via walmart.com and samsclub.com and are only redeemable online. All gift cards have a PIN code for security purposes. Wal-Mart allows saving of gift card information on walmart.com.
Wal-Mart also offers a corporate gift card program for bulk orders. Corporate gift card denominations are available in any dollar amount from $5 to $2,500. Any orders of 25 cards and/or $250 or more, requires a separate activation process.

Wal-Mart gift cards are redeemable at any Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stores nationwide, including walmart.com and samsclub.com. Sam's Club purchases are available to members only. Denominations available in preset amounts starting from $10 up to $200, or any loadable amount from $10 to $2,500.
- No expiration date.
- No fees on gift cards.
- Lost or stolen cards will not be replaced.
- Not returnable or refundable for cash except in states where required by law.
- Multiple gift cards can be consolidated into one gift card by purchasing a new gift card with balance equal to sum total of the other cards.
- Resale of gift cards is strictly prohibited.
